''Where there is no Engineer" design competition

On the 6th June 2015, Engineers Without Borders-Ireland, together with DTC Research Group (DIT) and Concern Worldwide held the National Finals of the "Where there is no Engineer" design competition. The program was funded by Irish Aid and delivered in partnership with Concern Worldwide, Engineers Ireland and Engineers without Borders Ireland.

The competition was focused on northern Kenya, working with the pastoralists who roam across three countries from northern Uganda, to find opportunities to improve communities.

 

The winnning project Modified Airdrop System was created by a grpup of DIT students Seán Byrne, Brendan Beattie, Thomas Carrigg.
