Enterprise Development

Module Description

Enterprise Development is an underlying principle in the Degree (Ordinary) In Hotel and Restaurant Management. The prevailing economic climate increasingly requires individuals to develop their own enterprises and become self-employed. Graduates from this programme will be employed as managers of established enterprises where they will be expected to: develop; extend; renovate and refurbish existing premises as well as invest in equipment. The first step in this process is the preparation of a business plan. This module provides students with a formal conscious approach to enterprise development. It leads the student through the various stages entailed in converting a business concept into a business reality.
