Higher Certificate in Hospitality Services Management (part-time)

    • This programme gives you in-depth knowledge and insight into managing and running a successful business in the hospitality and tourism sector. 
    • You will develop the techniques and management skills required to manage all aspects of the day-to-day operations of any hospitality business.
    • The course offers you a firm foundation in core management principles which allow you greater flexibility towards career advancement or further study.

  • Students can also undertake to sit the exams for the National Hygiene Partnership (NHP) Management of Food Safety & HACCP Programme.  In addition, the Managing Training and Development Module (Train the Trainer) has been accepted by the NHP as a suitable qualification to deliver Food Safety Management and HACCP training in students’ own organisations.

There are a number of path for progression from the Higher Certificate in Hospitality Services Management.  Students can progress on to the 3rd year of BA Degree in Hospitality Management (Part time) with a merit upper or higher or into the 2nd year of the BA Degree in Hospitality Management (part-time) with a merit lower or pass.

Successful students are also considered for the B.Bs in Business Studies or the B.Sc in Human Resource Management (DT331 part-time) in DIT Aungier Street.
