February saw the School submit a team for the prestigious Europe-wide competition, The EMCup held in Maastricht. The team of five students from fourth year International Hospitality Management captained by Hannah Barkoff, included Kate O Dowda, Lara Broughan-Schefman, Grace Tedford and Allan Burns. They had been preparing since early last semester under the guidance of School lecturers John Ryan and Clem Ryan, and competed against 32 teams from the leading Hospitality Schools around Europe. The team performed extremely well throughout the competition, impressing the judges and reaching the knockout phases for the second year in a row. This year’s competition was eventually won by a team from FHWien University of Applied Sciences Vienna. Congratulations to the team, and well done to Clem Ryan and John Ryan for excellent team mentoring!
