The School of Hospitality Management and Tourism is passionate about connecting students with the real world from first year onwards. Students of International Hospitality Management and Events Management complete two hundred hours of industry experience in first year. Additionally all students on Events, Tourism and Hospitality programmes complete a six month work placement in either year two or three, with leisure management students undertaking a fifteen week placement in year two. This can be carried out in Ireland or abroad.
Students commence work placements from the third week in January for six months (four months in the case of Leisure Management).
