Anto has recently carried out exploratory research on 'life-learning'.

This refers to fundamental changes in one’s view of the world. It is a deeper learning than that which occurs normally in education or training.

It can change a person’s perspectives on important things in their life and can affect values.

He developed this interest after he completed the French Camino which is the most popular of the routes of the Way of St. James. The Camino is a set of pilgrimage routes to Santiago de Compostela in north western Spain which has been walked for over a 1000 years.

Recently he has been discussing with a small number of people and organisations the possibility of developing something similar in Ireland. See St Patrick’s Way.
