Student Life

The college is based on Cathal Brugha St. in Dublin 1 (on the north end of O'Connell Street).  It is expected that between 2018 and 2019 students will move to the new campus in Grangegorman, just over 2 kilometres from Cathal Brugha St. college.

There are a range of options in the locality for students to participate in sports and other recreational activity.

In first year students will be mentored by second year students to help to get settled in to college.  We encourage all of our students to make the most of their time at DIT.  We want students to meet new people, join in clubs and societies and enjoy the college years as much as possible.

DIT has block booked suitable student accommodation with external providers for 2014/2015. Booking this accommodation particularly helps students coming to Dublin for the first time and settles the student quicker into college life and becoming familiar with Dublin city. It is recommended that you start looking for accommodation as soon as possible. Due to a shortage of accommodation in Dublin in the last year it may be difficult to obtain suitable accommodation in August and September.
