Tragedy, Action and Reform
This is a publication I created in response to the ISTD 2015 Milestones brief. The brief asked us to: choose a subject, that has existed for a significant number of years and produce a body of work that gives the user greater insight into the area of research and how the related milestones have played a role in the current existence of the subject matter. I chose the increasingly topical subject of race related police brutality in America and presented the beating of Rodney King as the greatest milestone in the area to date. This book also explores the current existence of race related police brutality by discussing the shooting of Michael Brown, in Ferguson, in August 2014. This project achieved a Merit award and membership to ISTD, at the ISTD assessments in Dublin, March 2015.
