DIT Hothouse is currently recruiting for the New Frontiers Entrepreneur Development Programme (formerly the Hothouse Venture Programme).
What does New Frontiers provide Entrepreneurs?
- Training in all areas of business including financial management, market research & validation, business process, patenting, product development, sales training.
- Mentoring from experienced business advisers and practitioners.
- Office and other business incubation facilities.
- €15,000 from Enterprise Ireland for individuals participating in Phase 2 (Income tax liability will be the sole responsibility of the participant, and individuals are encouraged to seek professional advice).
- Networking with other entrepreneurs and business development agencies.
- Introductions to seed and early stage capital investment networks.
- Access to entrepreneurship best practice, both national and international.
- Peer-group learning from participants in the region and across the country.
- Access to the expertise in Enterprise Ireland through our market information centre.
- Expertise from DIT Hothouse and the supportive environment of our business incubation centre
Since 2001, DIT Hothouse has supported 272 entrepreneurs, developing 180 sustainable busineses that now employ over 1,000 staff. At Hothouse participants receive a range of tailored services including:
Hothouse Incubator
The opportunity to base yourself in the entrepreneurial environment of Docklands Innovation Park, surrounded by fellow entrepreneurs and business experts who understand the start-up process. As part of the package you’ll have access to broadband communications, professional reception services, meeting rooms and a range of office facilities.
Management Training Workshops and One-to-One clinics
Practical weekend workshops led by experienced business people will help you to address the critical issues facing you as you develop and grow your business, including:
- Protecting your intellectual property
- Building a comprehensive business plan
- Raising investment
- Exploiting your international potential
- Building your senior management team
- Enhancing your negotiating capability.
In tandem with the workshops, a series of one-to-one clinics with industry experts will equip you with advice, feedback and action plans specific to your business.
Business Counselling
The Programme provides you with access to a range of invaluable expertise:
- On-site coaching from the Hothouse management team
- Strategic business counselling from a panel of experienced business people
- Buddy counselling with successful entrepreneurs from our network.
