DIT Hothouse IADT - New Frontiers Showcase

DIT Hothouse and IADT hosted the New Frontiers Showcase Event last Friday 5th December, in St. Laurence, DIT Grangegorman.

Funded by Enterprise Ireland, New Frontiers is the national entrepreneur development programme for innovative, early-stage startups. It is a three-phased programme, which DIT Hothouse runs in partnership with IADT, Dun Laoghaire.

With over 90 attendees present, the showcase was chaired by Mr. Noel Crawford, Dublin IBM Innovation Centre & Ecosystem Development Manager and featured a key-note presentation from Alumnus Sean Mitchell, Senior Vice-President & Chief Operating Officer of Movidius.

Along with Sean, five Alumni from New Frontiers programmes spoke on numerous topics ranging from the rapid growth of a start-up from the early beginnings, internationalisation, investment funding, branding, and moving into entrepreneurship as a career choice.

Alison Stroh, CEO, Dr Coy’s Healthfoods 

Attendees were also offered the opportunity to view the new DIT Grangegorman Campus, incorporating the new incubation centre which is currently under construction.
