DIT Hothouse Wins Social Contribution Award

DIT Hothouse Wins Social Contribution Award DIT Hothouse has won the Social Contribution Award at the IIA and Enterprise Ireland Net Visionary 2010. The awards, in their 12th year recognise leaders in the internet industry in Ireland and are a real benchmark for online excellence.

Ruth Kearney Marketing Officer at Hothouse commented ‘We are delighted to have won this prestigious award and it is an honour to be recognised for our social contribution. For many years, DIT Hothouse has worked tirelessly to support new companies through the Venture Programme, and commercialise DIT research, through its Technology Transfer activities. Such an award acknowledges this work and the role we have been playing in helping to create both new companies and jobs for Ireland.”

The overall NetVisionary Winner was Dylan Collins, serial entrepreneur of DemonWare and Jolt Games. Other award winners include RTE, Journalist Mark Little and the Western Development Commission.
