Hothouse nominated for People's Choice Award
The Hothouse website has been nominated for the People's Choice Award with the Irish eGovernment Awards. The People's Choice category is a chance for the general public to vote for the Government service that has made a significant impact in Ireland. Other nominations include leading Irish service providers ESB, NCH, Citizens Information, Sustainable Energy Ireland and Motor Tax.
Hothouse is the award winning Innovation and Technology Transfer Centre at Dublin Institute of Technology. At Hothouse we assist;
- Entrepreneurs to start and grow businesses
- Business Leaders to find technologies, research partners, and funding
- Investors to find high potential opportunities
- DIT staff (1,500) and students (22,000) to commercialise their Intellectual Property (IP)
Hothouse have helped entrepreneurs setup over 250 companies who have raised approximately €50m investment & funding and continue to support and build the Irish economy. Since 2001 the Hothouse alumni have contributed to over 1000+ new jobs of which 75% are still in operation.
