Protecting IP
When Hothouse receives a disclosure and assignment form, it will carry out an initial evaluation of the intellectual property’s commercial potential and determine the most appropriate way to protect it i.e. determine whether it is secret know-how or represents a patent, copyright, trade mark or registered design. If a patent is to be filed, Hothouse will seek funding from DIT or Enterprise Ireland for initial protection.
