Industrial
The following are some of the available technologies to license at DIT.
Light Activated Anti-Bacterial Powder
This novel indoor anti-bacterial additive effective against harmful bacteria such as E. Coli and MRSA. This patented self-sterilising material is activated by indoor light and reduces the need for repeated cleaning using chemicals such as bleach. This powder can be incorporated into a number of products such as paints, fabrics, furniture etc. Find out more
Dr. John Colreavy, Centre for Research in Engineering Surface Technology (CREST)
Humidity Sensitive Hologram
A hologram which changes colour as the humidity of its environment changes. It can be used in many applications including intelligent packaging and product authentication. Find out more.
Dr Suzanne Martin, Centre Manager of Industrial Engineering Optics (IEO) Centre
Optical System for Industrial Measurement
