In order to request a vacancy to be filled the appropriate policy and procedures as well as the Employment Control Framework June 2011 must be adhered to.

DIT uses comprehensive selection procedures as laid down by the Minister for Education and Science.

All proposed Permanent wholetime appointments and many fixed term appointments must go to the DIT Governing Body for approval.
The Governing Body meets on a monthly basis. Details of meeting dates can be found by clicking here.
In order to ensure proposed appointments reach Governing Body please see the relevant dates for receipt of information for the relevant Governing Body.
Communications to candidates who have attended for interview will only take place after required Governing Body approval where necessary.

Once a new staff member has been appointed to a role in DIT they will undergo a comprehensive Induction and Probation Process.
