Overall responsibility for the smooth running of the day to day operations in Resourcing & Benefits.  Policy and procedure development and implementation for the Resourcing & Benefits area. Providing advice and information on a range of resourcing matters to a wide range of colleagues.

Coordinates and streamline recruitment processes to ensure consistency, efficiency and effectiveness across the entire spectrum of recruitment and selection. Providing advice and information on a range of resourcing matters to colleagues and external applicants. 

 

Staff Officer - Hourly Paid Staff, Absence Management & Corporate Reporting

  • Responsible for all resourcing related items (i.e. staff requests, recruitment and selection, appointment and contract management) of all hourly paid staff i.e. HPAL, Tutor/Snr Demonstrator, Demonstrators, Exam invigilators, Sports Personnel, Life Models, Lab Supervisors,
  • Responsible for Absence Management – reporting from CoreTime, preparing Absence report for HRC, liaising with ER Manager on case management, ensuring clock is up to date and rolled over etc
  • Responsible for Reporting and Information – HEA numbers reports, Staffing numbers for HRC, Ad hoc report requests and data integrity.
  • Responsible for R&B Projects – annual tax savers schemes, Core developments (involved in Core User group activities) and any Core or other R&B projects (e.g. like introduction of CoreTime for Technicians, E-recruit etc).

Staff Officer – Academic Staff Resourcing & Benefits

Dealing with requests for Academic positions and their submission for approval, planning post appointments for all academic positions, maintaining academic section of Vacancies grid and other academic Resourcing grids, compiling draft ad for academic competitions, liaising with faculties in relation to post related tasks, managing post status from submission to advertising, handling transfers, actings for academic staff in addition to ensuring that work in the academic section is completed on time through supervision and delegation of tasks.
