In Staff Training & Development we run an Annual Programme of Training and Development Courses for DIT staff.

We keep up to date with training and development needs of management and staff through regular consultation by carrying out training needs surveys.

Under the Performance Management & Development System (PMDS), all staff of the Institute agree an annual Personal Development Plan (PDP) with their immediate manager. Where these plans identify common training and development needs across the Institute, these needs are met through the Annual Training & Development programme.

We work closely with the DIT Staff Development Committee and Local Staff Development Committees.

We also administer the Fee Support Policy for DIT staff pursuing higher qualifications, the Fee Waiver Scheme for staff taking DIT part-time programmes, the Study & Examination Leave Schemes and Training of Trainers Short Course Funding Scheme.
