Active Directory
Every student and most staff members have an account on active directory which can be used to logon to the network anywhere in the DIT.
For students the user name is your student ID number and the password is the date of birth ddmmyyyy.
Please
note that Mountjoy Square is not using Active Directory. Therefore,
students from other sites who wish to use the computers in Mountjoy
Square library will have to get temporary logons from the IT
technicians in Mountjoy Square. These temporary logons will not allow
the student to access documents saved on their personal accounts.
Please ask at the issue desk in the library for details of how to do
this.
As every student is registered on Active Directory,
Mountjoy Square students can still access their accounts in other site
libraries.
