Library Borrowing Facilities

  • Undergraduate students - 6 items for 14 days 
  • Taught Postgraduates - 10 items for 28 days
  • Research Postgraduates - 10 items for 90 days
  • Staff - 15 items for 90 days
  • External Readers - 2 items for 14 days
  • Part Time students 
  • Note: Aungier St Week Loan Collection (WLC) specifically for part-time students
  • Undergraduate part time students - 6 items for 14 days (& 2 from Aungier St WLC)
  • Postgraduate part time students - 10 items for 28 days (& 2 from Aungier St WLC)

Lending Rules

  • Main Lending - 14 days or 90 days depending on student / staff categories above
  • Short Loan - 24 hours (!tems borrowed on a friday are due on the following monday by 10.30am)
  • Week Loan - 7 days - (audio-visual materials)
  • Bolton Street Learning Teaching and Technology collection - can be used by all library patrons.  All items are 28 day loans.
  • Library Use - Items to use in library only

The following exceptions apply in site libraries:

  • Audio Visual material from Rathmines Road library can only be borrowed by staff and postgraduates.
  • VHS tapes from Grangegorman library can only be borrowed by staff.
