Publishing in DIT
The information below will be of interest to anyone in DIT who is publishing a printed book or report or other publication.
ISBN Service
The International Standard Book Number (ISBN) is a number that uniquely identifies a specific title and edition of every book that is published. A publication with an ISBN invariably attracts more attention than one without.
If you require an ISBN for a book you are publishing, please contact the Head of Library Services, Dr. Philip Cohen, with the following information:
Author or Editor, Title, and expected date of publication.
Legal Deposit
Legal deposit is a statutory obligation on all publishers to deposit copies of their publications in certain libraries in Ireland and the UK.
