How to Find Cathal Brugha Street Dissertations

  • Undergraduate and Taught Masters Dissertations can be searched for by Author or Title in the normal way.
  • If you are not sure of the author or title, or you just want to browse a list dissertations from a particular course go to the Library Catalogue and choose a Subject Search.
  • Enter the subject search: Dissertations DIT Cathal Brugha Street.
  • You will then see a list of the courses in Cathal Brugha Street.
  • Select your course from the list by clicking on the title.
  • You will then see a list of dissertation titles that we have in the library for that course. Click on the individual titles for details.
  • All* of our undergraduate dissertations are shelved in the student photocopier room of the library and are arranged by course, and then alphabetically by author. Dissertations cannot be borrowed but feel free to browse through them when you are in the library. Our Masters, MPhil and PhD Theses are housed in the Journals Room. 
  • To browse our collections of MPhil and PhD Theses, again go to the Library Catalogue, but enter the subject search: Theses DIT Cathal Brugha Street

 Institutional Research Repositories:

  1. ARROW@DIT is a digital collection of research publications produced by researchers at DIT, including research masters theses and PhDs.  This collection contains papers from the School of Culinary Arts and Food Technology as well as from the School of Hospitality Management and Tourism.
  2. RIAN.ie is a portal the contents of the Institutional Repositories of DIT and the seven Irish university libraries, DCU, NUIG, NUIM, TCD, UCC and UL.

* Please note that the library does not receive all the dissertations completed by Cathal Brugha Street undergraduates and postgraduates, therefore if you cannot find the title on the catalogue we do not have it. Also you may be asked to sign a Copyright Declaration form before reading the postgraduate dissertations.
