Kevin St Library offers two wireless enabled laptop loan schemes for registered DIT students.
1. Short Loan Laptops
18 wifi enabled laptops are available for use in the library only on a 3 hour loan basis. Laptops are borrowed from the Library Desk and issued to student DIT Library Accounts. DIT student username and passwords are required for web and network access.
2. Long Loan Laptops
18 wifi enabled laptops are available for students to borrow on a 28 day loan basis and are issued to DIT Library student accounts. A current student card is required to borrow.
Please note to ensure equitable access borrowers may NOT renew nor place holds on laptops.
How to borrow:
1. The laptop & powerpack cable will be issued to your DIT Library Account
2. Sign the Conditions of Loan form at the desk and make a note of the return date.
3. Connect once to the DIT network (a network cable is available from the library desk) using your DIT student number and password. Your profile will be stored on the laptop, so you will be able to log into the laptop when away from the DIT network.
4. Users who experience problems using an external wifi should contact their own network service provider to enable access outside the DIT network.
