Database Name Description

Academic Search Complete

Academic search complete is a database covering a huge range of topics. You will find material related to planning and often (but not always) you will get a link to the full text article in PDF format.

Art and Architecture Complete

Art and architecture complete is our main resource for architecture but you will also find results for planning queries. It provides full text access to some 380 journals and 220 books. It also contains an image collection of over 63,000 images.

Business Source Complete

Business source complete is another wide ranging database but you will find some planning related material. Once again, some of the information will be available in full text PDF format.

Emerald Insight

Emerald Insight is another database that allows you search journals covering a wide range of subjects.


iSurv is your source of surveying information from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Contact the library for your login to iSurv.


Info4education by IHS is primarily a resource for construction and engineering but you will find some results for planning enquiries. All results will be quality information and full-text.

 Science Direct

 Science Direct is one of the largest databases subscribed to by the library. In it you will find information on all topics, including planning. Many of the results you find will be available in full text.
