This new programme is aimed at professionals working in the Early Childhood Education and Care sector who are currently in a management or leadership position, or for those who wish to progress their careers.
Programme Vision
The vision for this programme is to develop excellence in Early Childhood Education, mentoring, management and leadership. Students will be facilitated to develop their capacities in delivering Early Years services grounded in the highest ethical standards of care, continuing education and research.
Who should apply?
Applicants must normally hold a minimum 2.2 result from a relevant Level 8 programme (eg, BA (Hons.) in Early Childhood Education). Applicants should have (a) formal management responsibilities as part of their work or have experience that has included dealing with issues and challenges that relate to management of the care environment and (b) should have at least two years' appropriate experience.

The Programme will be delivered at the new DIT central campus in Grangegorman, Dublin 7 (view video).
International Study Trip
At an additional cost, students will have the opportunity to take part in a field excursion where the purpose is to observe best practice Early Childhood Education in another jurisdiction.
