PhD student, Kate O'Hara, shortlisted for HEA award.

Kate O'Hara has been shortlisted for a HEA/Irish Independent 'Impact' award for her PhD research on community services and short prison sentences. Kate is funded by the Irish Research Council and the Irish Penal Reform Trust under the Employment-based PhD scheme. She is supervised by Dr. Mary Rogan; Dr. Kevin Lalor acts as her advisory supervisor. Kate's work seeks to impact penal policy and practice to improve criminal justice outcomes for the benefit of society.
