
Introduction
The aim of this one year, part –time programme is to equip participants, who already have teaching responsibilities, with the requisite knowledge and skills to be more effective and competent lecturers/trainers. The focus of the programme is on the development and demonstration of good practice in the design, delivery and evaluation of curricula. The programme also aims to facilitate participants in developing their chosen educational interests and specialisms in learning and teaching, and to develop a personal and professional capacity for critical self-reflection
The course uses experiential learning as its pedagogic approach. Experiential learning activities include the following: micro teaching, observation of practice, course design and reflective writing.

| Timetable / Hours | Participation on this course involves attendance for a half day a week. The September 2012 intake will run on Wednesday afternoons (2-5pm). The February 2013 intake will run on Wednesday mornings (10 am - 1pm). |
