Introduction to webcourses.dit.ie.

Overview

This workshop is an introduction to the DIT elearning platform webcourses.dit.ie. In the academic year 2010/11 webcourses was accessed by over 17,000 DIT students and staff.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this hands-on workshop participants will know how to:

• Log in to webcourses.dit.ie
• Navigate within webcourses.dit.ie
• Add information to a module Home Page
• Create a structured content (i.e.learning modules) within a module
• Add content (e.g. Powerpoint slides; PDF documents; Word/Excel documents) to learning modules
• Organise content within learning modules

• Develop key skills & competencies in students
• Promote diversity of learning opportunities

Who is this workshop suitable for?

All academic staff, all staff involved in student support.

Pre-requisite

Participants should have basic computer skills (i.e. ability to use a mouse and computer keyboard).
