Introduction to webcourses
Overview
This workshop is an introduction to the DIT elearning platform webcourses.
Webcourses runs in the Blackboard 9.1 environment
Learning Outcomes
At the end of this hands-on workshop participants will know how to:
- Log into webcourses
- Navigate within webcourses
- Add content (e.g. Powerpoint slides; PDF documents; Word/Excel documents) to your webcourses module
- Easily use content from Flickr, YouTube and Slideshare
- Structure content in an appropriate manner
- Add students to a webcourses module and view student lists
A brief overview of more advanced features of webcourses such as wikis, chat/whiteboard, gradebook, SafeAssign and more will also be provided

Who is this workshop suitable for?
All academic staff, all staff involved in student support.
Pre-requisite
Participants should have basic computer skills (i.e. ability to use a mouse and computer keyboard).
