Mission Statement

The Mozambique Eyecare Project aims to provide a sustainable solution to the problem of avoidable blindness in developing nations by addressing the significant barrier of local human resource capacity development through optometric education.

Flora Mini Marathon and Great Ireland Run

DIT students took part in the races below in aid of Optometry Giving Sight.

Great Ireland Run (Sunday 18 April 2010, The Phoenix Park, Dublin; Race Distance: 10 km, Start: 13:00)

Flora Mini Marathon (Bank Holiday Monday, 7th June 2010 at 3.00pm.10K. Start: Fitzwilliam Square, Dublin 2. Finish: St. Stephen's Green, Dublin 2.

Comedy Night Laughter Lounge Friday 13th November

Dublin Institute of Technology optometry students organised a comedy gig for Optometry Giving Sight in The Laughter Lounge 4-8 Eden Quay, O Connell Bridge, Dublin 1, on Friday 13^th November.
