Member of DIT Governing Body Elected Lord Mayor of Dublin
Cllr. Paddy Bourke, a member of DIT's Governing Body, has been elected as the new Lord Mayor of Dublin.
Commenting Professor Brian Norton, President of DIT said, 'I would like to congratulate Paddy on his election as Lord Mayor of Dublin. Paddy is a highly regarded member of DIT's Governing body since 1999 and has made a valuable contribution to the development of the Institute. In fact, Paddy has been a tremendous advocate for vocational education throughout his career and is currently Chair of the City of Dublin Vocational Education committee. I wish him every success during his term of office as Lord Mayor.'
Paddy Bourke is a Labour Councillor for the Artane Ward. He is also a member of the City of Dublin Youth Services Board and a member of the Dublin Port Board. He chairs the Artane Beaumont Recreation Centre and is a trustee of the Ardmore Montrose Resident Association.
