30 years of contemporary photography
A unique exhibition of contemporary photography has opened in the Gallery of Photography in Temple Bar, celebrating 30 years of contemporary photography. The exhibition features the work of fifty photographers – including ‘world famous, established and breakthrough talents’. Among the fifty exhibits are works by DIT colleagues in the School of Media – Tony Murray, Anthony Haughey - and recent DIT graduates of photography Mandy O’Neill and Anna Rackard.
The exhibition, which opened on November 21, will run until December 22nd. As part of the exhibition, visitors are invited to enter a draw to win the print of their choice from the exhibition. Tickets are €30 and proceeds go towards The Light Room project – the state-of-the-art digital studio and public access workshop space which is being constructed on the rooftop of the Gallery of Photography and which will be launched in September 2009.
