DIT eLearning Summer School 2008, 23-27 June
The sixth DIT eLearning Summer School is all about webcourses.dit.ie!
This year we depart from the previous format to focus on DIT's new learning management system, webcourses.dit.ie, which will replace WebCT in the coming academic year. Convened by the Learning Technology Team and Staff Training & Development, the week-long event at the end of June will provide an opportunity for DIT staff to become familiar with all aspects of webcourses, to exchange ideas with colleagues and discuss issues relevant to eLearning, technology and broader issues of education. It serves as a preparation for September 2008 when all modules currently in WebCT will be moved to the new system, and the 11,000+ users will begin logging in. If you're already a user of WebCT, this summer school will help you make the transition to the new system; if you have not used WebCT previously, this is your opportunity to learn what technology can do to enhance you and your students' experience.
Registration: As many of the sessions are lab-based places are limited to a maximum of 30, so early booking is advisable: contact firstname.lastname@example.org, tel.402-7866.
