Postgraduate Open Day - 6th April 2005
DIT's Postgraduate Open Day is set to take place on Wednesday the 6th April in DIT Aungier Street, Dublin 2 between 12pm and 7pm. The Open Day is an ideal opportunity to find out more about the broad selection of industry focused postgraduate programmes on offer in Ireland's most innovative third level institute. It will be of great value to final-year students and recent graduates, and also for those currently in the work place looking to upgrade their knowledge and skills.
DIT offers career-focused postgraduate education, along with a culture of excellence in teaching and research and a vibrant postgraduate community. Whether you're interested in building on the expertise of your primary degree or undertaking study in a different area, DIT is bound to have something to suit you. From postgraduate conversion courses in Engineering, Marketing, Advertising, PR, Journalism, Accounting, Media and Legal Studies to Continuation Courses in Sustainable Development, Spatial Planning, Strategic Management, Molecular Pathology, Mathematics, Food Safety, Environmental Health, Fine Art, and Tourism Management, DIT offers a broad range of programmes across six faculties. DIT also offers competitive scholarships to students to undertake predefined Masters Research projects, which may lead to Doctoral research. Scholarship students are exempt from all research programme fees. A Scholarship of €5,000 will be available to each registered non EU research student.
Throughout the day talks will take place on the postgraduate programmes on offer across DIT's six faculties including Taught Postgraduate Conversion Programmes, Taught Postgraduate Continuation Programmes and Competitively Funded Postgraduate Research Programmes.
Staff members will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. Current postgraduate students will also be available to talk about their first-hand experience of being a postgraduate student at DIT. There will also be talks on the Benefits of Postgraduate Education along with general talks on postgraduate research.
In addition, you can drop by the information stands of the Disability Liaison Service, the International Student Office, the Lifelong Learning Office, Student Services Office, Careers and the DIT Chaplaincy.
