"We have always wanted to find a suitable opportunity to showcase some of the amazing musicians we are so lucky to have on the staff of the Conservatory. This year, with the huge support of Smart Telecom, we have found the perfect opportunity to stage this concert at a time that fits with their performing commitments and their teaching schedules. Five of my colleagues will now appear on the one stage, in the first concert of its kind."

The musicians are all well-known nationally and internationally as performers, but also for their roles as teachers of music performance at the Conservatory of Music and Drama. Ms Grant said she felt the programme chosen for the 'spectacular' would be extremely attractive to a wide music audience. "I'm sure that, in particular, our own students and graduates will enjoy the opportunity of seeing roles reversed and having their teachers perform! I think it will be a wonderful night and we hope that it will become an annual occasion."

Commenting on their sponsorship of the 'Classical Music Spectacular', Ms Rhona Bradshaw, Marketing Manager of Smart Telecom, "We are delighted to be involved with DIT and this fantastic event. The audience will have an opportunity to listen to some of Ireland's most talented musicians at one of Ireland's finest venues. This is one event that should definitely not be missed this October!"
