A Night at the Opera

DIT's Conservatory of Music and Drama will once again present 'A night at the Opera' in the National Concert Hall on Tuesday February 21, 2006. This year the programme will delight all music lovers, with excerpts from Mozart's 'The Magic Flute', Gounod's 'Faust' and Mascagni's 'Cavalleria Rusticana'

The soloists, chorus and orchestra will be drawn from the students of the Conservatory, and the conductor is Mark Shanahan.
Dr. Ellen Hazelkorn, Dean of DIT's Faculty of Applied Arts, said the production involves staff of the Conservatory and students at all levels. "The evening is a great opportunity for the Conservatory to showcase its range and depth of talent, and for audiences it is a chance to hear some of Ireland's exciting emerging performers."
