DIT to host Intervarsities

DIT Chess Society will host Irish Chess Intervarsities in Bolton St on
Saturday April 1st, 2006. Teams from all over the Republic and Northern Ireland will be competing for Ireland's Premier University Chess Tournament. DIT is taking over as host from University of Limerick who ran a very successful tournament last year.
Trials for the DIT team will be held on March 6th and 13th, for any players seeking to play. Players should be familiar with tournament chess and have a rating of over 1250 preferably.
