The popular weekly Irish Traditional lunchtime recitals presented by the Conservatory of Music and Drama will return this Tuesday, 31 January. The first recital in the 2006 series will feature Peter Browne and Seosaimhín Ní Bheaglaoch.
Peter Browne is a celebrated Piper ,broadcaster and music collector who started learning the pipes in DIT with the legendary piper Leo Rowsome. Seosaimhín Ní Bheaglaoch,from the west kerry gaeltacht is one of the finest sean nos singers of the Munster tradition. Her beautiful lyrical singing style is unique to her native district and to the O Beaglaoch family in particular.
The recital takes place on Tuesday 31 January at 1.10 pm in the Rathmines Public Library, beside DIT Rathmines. Admission is free.
