'Building Best Practice through Partnership: Developing Arts Tourism in Ireland'
Research Institute for Culture and Heritage invites you to attend a seminar entitled 'Building Best Practice through Partnership: Developing Arts Tourism in Ireland'.

Part funded by the Research Support Unit at the Dublin Institute of Technology, the seminar is part of a 2 day event organised in partnership with Kerry County Council. This event is aimed at policy makers, local authorities, academics and practitioners.
The event will profile international best practice in relation to arts tourism. Current policy and practice in Ireland will also be examined and the future development of arts tourism in Ireland explored. The event is structured to facilitate opportunities for dialogue and interaction with policy makers, practitioners and academics.
International keynote speakers include:
- Professor Don Getz, University of Calgary
- James McVeigh, Arts Council of England
- Julie Russell, Wales Tourist Board
Representatives of Fáilte Ireland, Culture Ireland and the Arts Council, along with key industry players, will also address the event.
The second day of this event will be hosted by the Kerry County Council and will be held on Thursday, 4th October in Killarney, Co Kerry. Day 2 will complement the national policy focus of the Dublin event, exploring the issues at a practical level.
