What is Family Friendly/Work Life Balance about?

Family Friendly/Work Life Balance working arrangements are designed to assist employees to combine work & family life, caring responsibilities and/or a personal life outside of the workplace.

Family Friendly Workplace Day

In celebration of this day, the Personnel Department are highlighting all of our Work/life Balance policies (see below for further details) and we are launching an Art Competition.

We are inviting the children of DIT employees (or indeed, any children that you might know in your personal life, e.g. a niece/nephew or child of a friend) to submit a drawing or painting of what they think mummy/daddy/relative/friend does in work.

Entries will be accepted from the following categories:

  • 4 -7 years
  • 8 - 11 years
  • 12 - 15 years

The winners from each category will receive a a €50 voucher for Smyths Toy Store. Entries will be judged by John O'Connor, Head of School of Art, Design and Printing and Mark Greene, Graphic Design.How to enter

Please ensure that the entries are marked clearly with name, age and details of who the child knows at DIT. The closing date is Friday, 21st March 2003. All details of the winners, will be displayed on the staff intranet.
