Are you aged over 23 and thinking about going to college? If so let DIT help you unlock your potential!

Dublin Institute of Technology welcomes students from a wide range of backgrounds, countries and ages. Mature students play an important part in DIT's community and the Institute is committed to providing the opportunity and encouragement to enable people to return to study.at any stage of their career.

The Open Evening is an annual event at which DIT showcases its wide range of courses and the opportunities available for mature students on whole-time programmes. While traditionally much of the focus of third level education has been on Leaving Certificate students, there is a significant trend now towards 'lifelong learning' and providing opportunities for adults who wish to return to education - whether they have not yet availed of third level education, wish to update their skills or perhaps would like to change career.

This year the DIT Open Evening will run from 5.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. and staff from each faculty will be on hand to meet prospective students, give guidance about choice of courses, and offer advice on all aspects of student life. During the evening the Institute will run two workshops on how to complete CAO applications.

If you are thinking about returning to education in 2004, the Open Evening will be an excellent opportunity to what DIT offers, and to meet staff and current mature students. While the focus is primarily on full-time courses, information will also be available on part-time programmes.
