DIT students design St. Patrick's Day cards for An Post

'Feared by snakes' by John Paul Murray (VisCom 4th year)

Each year, An Post commissions a number of designs for their pre-paid 'St. Patrick's Day' postcards.  This year, three of the five designs chosen are by two DIT Visual Communications students - John Paul Murray, who is in 4th year and Aine Kierans, third year.  Mr. Kieran Corcoran, School of Art Design and Printing, said he was delighted with the students' success.  "It's a great achievement for John Paul and Áine - more than 400,000 cards will be sold this year and the images will be seen worldwide. The other two designs chosen by An Post are by John Rocha and Graham Knuttel, so our students are in very distinguished company!"

The card designs will be launched by An Post shortly and will be available in post offices everywhere.
