St. Patrick's Day is Ireland's biggest national holiday and the St. Patrick's Festival will bring over 1.3 million people to the capital city. Located in Temple Bar Square, this giant screen offers DIT a truly prime and world class location during the week's festivities.  The 108 square foot outdoor screen with spectacular full colour, audio and perfect video motion will be running 13 hours per day during St. Patrick's Week (14 - 20 March).  DIT's ad will feature every hour in between news pieces, entertainment, and short films.

Temple Bar Square

The new advert complements the series of outdoor and press adverts that DIT ran in the lead up to the CAO deadline in February.  Featuring fast paced imagery of actual DIT students and staff, the new advert captures several messages the Institute wishes to promote to potential students including

  •  Our centre city locations
  • The range of disciplines we offer
  • The career-focussed nature of DIT's approach to learning
  • And DIT's membership of the European University Association

While the ad was created specifically for this St. Patrick's Week promotion, it will be used in a wide range of other applications - as a backdrop at events, as an intro to lectures, on the web and perhaps as an ad on the big cinema screen.  Using existing photographic material, the ad was developed in partnership with 'Eye Candy', a Montreal-based multi-media company.  Its purpose is to build brand awareness of DIT and encourage potential students to visit www.dit.ie to find out more about us.
