Induction programmes for students in the Faculty of Tourism and Food have been taking place this week and on Wednesday 14 September there will be a special session for international students, especially those from China.  In keeping with the launch of DIT?s ?Embracing Diversity? campaign, the Faculty was particularly concerned to welcome Chinese students and to ensure that they have a good understanding of the learning culture in Ireland from the beginning of their programme.  David Catterick, a lecturer in Applied Languages at the University of Dundee, will address the students and speak about his experience in working in universities in Chna and also in working with Chinese students in Europe.  Students who are new to DIT, but also those who have been here for two and three years, have been invited to participate in the session and to share their points of view.
