Dublin, 25th January, 2006: DIT's School of Art Design and Printing and the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) are organising a joint seminar to explore perspectives on drawing and to advance knowledge of the act of drawing.

The event is scheduled to coincide with the opening of a major exhibition at IMMA, entitled '3 x Abstraction: New methods of Drawing by Hilma af Klint, Emma Kunz and Agnes Martin'. The Seminar, entitled 'Triptych', is a collaborative venture involving DIT's 'DrawingLab' and two UK Universities - Kingston and Loughborough. Speakers from DIT will be Dr. Siun Hanrahan and Brian Fay.

It will take place in the Chapel at IMMA (the Royal Hospital Kilmainham) on Wednesday 25 January from 3.00 - 5.45pm, and members of the public are invited to participate at no fee - although it is necessary to book your place.
