Dublin Institute of Technology Open Day 2007
Saturday 1st December DIT Aungier Street

DIT's Annual Open Day takes place Saturday 1st December in DIT Aungier Street, Dublin 2 between 9.30am and 3.30 pm. It is one of the biggest events in the DIT calendar attracting thousands of prospective students.

Advice and information on all of DIT's undergraduate, part-time and post-graduate courses will be available.  Visitors will be able meet teaching staff, learn about student support services and talk to current students about their experiences of campus life at DIT.

According to Vincent O'Hora, DIT Admissions Officer and event organiser; `It's a chance to pop in and find out more about what life in DIT is all about. Current students and staff will be on hand to answer any questions you might have - from what course would best suit you to how to join a club or society and how to get the most out of college life and all it has to offer.'

'I would advise those thinking of attending to come early and enjoy the fun including student performances, competitions and live radio broadcasts by Spin103.8.'

The Open Day will not only be of great value to leaving certificate students but also to postgraduate and mature students.  There is a full schedule of events throughout the day with talks taking place on the broad range of courses on offer in DIT from Accounting to Architecture to Tourism and Telecommunications.

Guided tours of the facilities will be available and DIT students will be present to speak about their first-hand experience of being a student and how they found the move from secondary school to third-level.

Those in attendance are also encouraged to drop by the information stands of the Disability Liaison Service, the International Student Office, the Lifelong Learning Office, Student Services Office, Careers and the DIT Chaplaincy, Library Service and Access Office.
