Advanced Entry

Applicants who already possess third-level qualifications e.g. Ordinary Degrees, Higher Certificates, Diplomas or Certificates from DIT, HETAC or NCVA or other awarding bodies may be admitted to the more advanced stages of higher level programmes up to Honours Degree level. Such applicants should have an appropriate educational background and a level of achievement which is closely related to the standard of the DIT programme they wish to enter. Such applicants do not apply through the CAO system but should submit an Advanced Entry application form available here or from the Admissions Office –

The closing date for submission of applications (except in the case of programmes listed below) has been extended to Friday 2 May 2008.

Advanced Entry applications for any of the  programmes below must be submitted on or before 29th February 2008, as applicants may be required to attend suitability test/interview/audition:

  • DT101 Architecture (Honours Degree)
  • DT501 Music (Honours Degree)
  • DT529 Drama [Performance] (Ordinary Degree).
