Fáiltíonn Coiste na Gaeilge, ITBÁC roimh iarratais do Scéim Cónaithe Gaeilge 2009/10 na hInstitiúide. Tá an Scéim Cónaithe Gaeilge á eagrú ag Oifig na Gaeilge agus Saol an Champais, ITBÁC chun pobal Gaeilge na hInstitiúide a láidriú agus a chothú agus chun úsáid na Gaeilge a chur chun cinn i saol mac léinn na hInstitiúide.

Cuirfear scoláireachtaí ar fáil do mhic léinn le Gaeilge chun árasán a roinnt lena chéile trí mheán na Gaeilge i lár chathair Bhaile Átha Cliath i rith na bliana acadúla. Beidh an Ghaeilge mar theanga labhartha an tí. Ní mór d?iarratasóirí Gaeilge a bheith acu agus beidh ar na mic léinn a bheith gníomhach i gcur chun cinn agus spreagadh na Gaeilge ina saol cónaithe agus i measc mic léinn na hInstitiúide. Is iontach an deis a bheireann an scéim cónaithe seo do mhic léinn cónaí trí mheán na Gaeilge le mic léinn eile na hInstitiúide. Cuireadh tús leis an scéim i mbliana agus tá ag éirí go geal leis le ceathrar mac léinn ag cónaí in árasán i Sráid Líosain trí mheán na Gaeilge.

Beidh an t-árasán Gaeilge i 2009/10 lonnaithe i lár na cathrach chomh maith agus beidh na gnáthrátaí cíosa le híoc ach cuirfear scoláireachtaí ar fiú 850 euro an duine iad ar fáil dóibh siúd a bhíonn rath orthu lena n-iarratais chun cabhrú le roinnt den chostas cíosa seo. Fáilteofar roimh iarratais ó mhic léinn lánaimseartha ITBÁC agus mic léinn a bheas ag freastal don chéad uair ar an Institiúid i mí Mheán Fómhair 2009. Is é 31 Márta an spriocdháta d?iarratais agus tá fáilte roimh mhic léinn atá/a bheas ag staidéar ar aon chlár lánaimseartha de chuid na hInstitiúide iarratas a dhéanamh ar an scéim. Coiste na Gaeilge, DIT?s Irish language committee invites applications for DIT?s Irish Language Student Residency Scheme 2009/10. The Scheme is organised by Oifig na Gaeilge and Campus Life, DIT in order to develop and support the Institute?s Irish language speaking community and to promote the use of Irish amongst DIT?s student population.

DIT are offering scholarships to students with Irish to share accommodation through the medium of Irish during the academic year in Dublin city centre. Irish will be the spoken language in the residence. Applicants must be able to speak Irish and will have to actively promote and encourage the use of Irish on campus and amongst DIT?s student community. This is a unique opportunity to live through the medium of Irish with other DIT students. The scheme began this year for the first time in DIT and is very successful with 4 students living through the medium of Irish in an apartment on Leeson St.

The apartment in 2009/10 will again be located in the city centre and normal rental costs will apply. However, successful applicants will receive scholarships worth 850 euro each, which will be paid towards some of the rental costs. Current full-time DIT students as well as students who will begin study in DIT for the first time in September 2009 are invited to apply. The scheme is open to students who are / will be studying on any full-time programme in DIT and the closing date for applications is March 31st ?09.

Application forms and information is available from Oifig na Gaeilge at 4027505; gaeilge@dit.ie or go to www.dit.ie/services/gaeilge/sceimconaithestudentresidence/   Rannpháirtithe na scéime 08/09 ?
