DIT recently celebrated the first graduates from its Masters of Mechanical Engineering programme. 10 students successfully completed the Masters and were conferred with their awards at the Faculty of Engineering?s annual graduation ceremony in November.

Launched in September 2008, the programme was developed in order to meet the strong and growing demand from engineers working in industry to develop specialist knowledge and advanced skills in mechanical engineering.

The programme is comprised of a wide range of engineering, business and CPD modules leading to the development of competent senior engineers, capable of operating in a broad range of technical and managerial roles.

In addition, and in order to create sustainable employment opportunities for learners by equipping them with everything they need to operate effectively in the sector, the programme has a number of focus areas: including renewable and sustainable energy technologies, numerical simulation techniques, and biomechanics.

The taught master?s programme is a valuable addition to DIT?s very successful suite of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Engineering. To find out more, click here.
