Back due to popular demand?..

DIT is delighted to announce that it will be running its evening programme in Diet, Nutrition and Health in February.

This course has been developed to provide learners with an introduction to the principles of nutrition and health. Over the twelve weeks of the course, candidates will study nutritional science including physiology, biochemistry and metabolism. The fundamentals of food science and its role in nutrition will also be examined. The role nutrition and lifestyle in common disorders including obesity, cardiovascular/heart disease and cancer will be covered. Other lifestyle behaviours influencing health will also be discussed.

The course will commence on Tuesday 2nd February and will run on Tuesday evenings from 6.30-9.30pm for a total of twelve weeks. It will conclude with a final examination of 1.5 hours duration on Tuesday 27th of April, successful completion of which will entitle candidates to 5 ECTS credits.
