Postgraduate Study and Research Opportunities

February 10th 2010

The Postgraduate Admissions Office in DIT will host an Open Evening on Tuesday 2nd March and would welcome graduates who may be considering further study or a change of direction.

Whether you are interested in returning to study on a part-time basis or full-time, would consider registering on one of our taught programmes or wish to undertake research for MPhil of PhD qualification, there are many options for you to consider.

Among the programmes offered, there are some fifteen Masters or Postgraduate Diploma options which are open to graduates of all disciplines who may wish to build on their qualifications but in a different field. These include areas such as journalism, creative digital media, law, marketing, fashion buying and management, public relations, political communications, accounting, quantity surveying and real estate. In all, DIT offers forty-five postgraduate programmes on a full-time basis and a further forty part-time study options.

In addition, DIT has excellent opportunities for research across all our discipline areas, and our research co-ordinators will be available at the Postgraduate Open Evening to discuss these with you.The quality of research in DIT has been highlighted recently in a bibliometric study of research strengths in higher education in Higher Education institutions in Ireland. By measuring the citation impact of research by institution, the study shows that DIT research has real impact, performing well across all disciplines and topping the leader board in some areas.

The Postgraduate Open Evening will take place from 3 pm to 7.30 pm on Tuesday 2nd March at the DIT Aungier Street Campus and all are welcome.
